District 7: North
District 7 on the Northern end of the city is one of the most popular areas for young professionals and families which is why it’s some of the most expensive real estate in San Francisco. There are four distinct communities in district 7. Pacific Heights and Presidio Heights have long been considered the most coveted places in the city with mansions and grand Victorian homes from a bygone era. The Marina and Cow Hollow have a younger vibe with smaller homes and condos. The main shopping and dining streets for Pacific Heights and Presidio Heights are Fillmore and Sacramento which have some classic cafes, notable restaurants and design stores. Chestnut Street and Union Street cater to a younger audience as well as families with hip bars, trendy restaurants and stylish boutiques. With easy access to the water’s edge, people living in district 7 enjoy the beach, boating and walks to the Golden Gate Bridge. The Presidio National Park is a wooded wonderland with parks, playing fields and hiking trails that provides another scenic outdoor experience for residents and guests alike.
