District 1: Northwest
Otherwise known as the Richmond, the Northwest district is known for its incredible ocean views and romantic misty vibes. Beautifully preserved Victorian and Edwardian homes mix with French Tudor and French Beaux-Arts styles as well as modern Californian styles. Though the Richmond is only a little over 2 square miles, it packs a punch. The world-renowned de Young Museum, Legion of Honor, and California Arts and Science museums delight locals and visitors of all ages. Geary and Clement Streets offer a host of endearing mom-and-pop boutiques, some of SF’s best global cuisine like Chinese, Korean, Burmese, and Thai as well as classics like Giorgio’s Pizza. From Ocean Beach to Golden Gate Park, the Northwest District is perfect for those who enjoy both the city and the outdoors. Surf or relax on the sand at Ocean Beach in the morning, head to Golden Gate Park in the afternoon to watch the roller-skaters, and cap the evening off with dinner at a Pearl 6101.
